Generated Messages

Generated messages are used on a number of sex dating and adult contact sites. They sometimes admit this in their terms & conditions. The existence of this technique, whereby messages are sent automatically to members is another sign that these sites have very few real female members. Generated messages are probably constructed from a database of short message sentences, which are then programmed to be sent to members either at random, or based on some other criteria e.g 'number of days since last login', or 'time left before subscription expires'. These messages are often quite short and make no reference to the recipients personal profile. A typical example would read like this:

" hey there! just saw your profile, you look great. Lets hook up soon."

There is no substance here, the message is not personal and could be sent to anyone. If replied to there would likely be no response as the software is not capable of interaction. Some advanced dating software may be able to forward the replies to generated messages back to the site administrator, or affiliate members, who can then continue the communication. By using generated messages, sex dating sites can encourage men to subscribe, even though there are very few female members on the site who could reply, even if they wanted to. So if you get messages like the example above, which are very brief and don't try to find out about you, or don't engage in friendly banter, then they are probably generated messages. Remember however, that messages which do seem more real and attempt to strike up a rapport with you could be from affiliates or admin, or if you're really lucky, they might be genuine...but don't count on it!

I don't recommend that anyone joins any of these websites, but if you do, heres a simple test for fraudulent activity: having registered, do not subscribe, do not fill out a personal profile and do not upload a photo. Leave your profile blank and see if you get emails informing you that 'Member69Hot' has sent you a message'. Is it really likely that a real member would write to someone with a blank profile? No!..I have proved this by going one stage further, I created some very unattractive male profiles on a number of sites and still got plenty of messages from young sexy women..generated messages are proof positive of the tricks used by sex dating sites.
