We are all at regularly, asked to accept the 'Terms & Conditions', and other policy statements of many websites and organizations. Have you ever read any of them?.. I have, many of the tricks & ploys I have highlighted can be confirmed by reading the terms & conditions of some of the sex dating sites on the web. Here are a few quotes:
"The site is purely for entertainment purposes only"
"This Web Site is an Entertainment Service."
"By using this service you accept that member profiles, messages and communication may not be genuine."
One site talks about you being contacted by: a "computer generated “person” or “character" and "digital actor or avatar"
Reading these confirmed what I had already discovered during my 6 month long research of this topic. These are just a few quotes from a handful of sites, there is much more buried in their terms & conditions including (as mentioned here) that "you grant royalty free, perpetual rights to use, distribute, modify and share any content that you upload to their sites". There is also much legal stuff and warnings designed to protect them from being sued by unhappy customers.
If you have ever channel hopped and stumbled on any of the late night satellite TV channels, you may have seen programmes with semi-naked women chatting to men being charged by the minute, This is a similar to the services offered by sex dating websites. It's just entertainment..and a cash guarantee for the provider.
